Australian Marsupials

Close shot with Canon T3 Rebel, 1100D of a Wallaby in the wild
An Eastern Grey Kangaroo resting.
A mob of Eastern Grey kangaroo, grazing on a foggy morning.
This is a rare Australian marsupial, A baby Tree Kangaroo. Another picture in this series will show an adult on a rope designed to be a tree branch.
These Roos don't hop on the ground, they climb trees.
This is the iconic, Tasmanian Devil, it looks small but has more bravado than a Badger and a mouth full of teeth connected to a jaw that can snap a human bone like a twig. The noise they make is like a devil.
Here is the picture of the adult Tree Kangaroo. As you can see, they are at home climbing rather than hopping like our other Kangaroos. This picture and the baby were taken in a local zoo. I shot the photo there, because they are on our endangered list of native Australian animals.(very rare to find one in the wild) These guys are part of a re-breeding program around all Australian Zoos to save them.
Pictured is the Australian Koala, just Koala, not bear. A Koala is an Australian Marsupial and is not even related to the Bear family. They look cuddly but don't be deceived, if they are in distress and you try to pick one up in the wild, those claws they have can tear your flesh open.
Here we have a Wombat (common). There are several types of Wombats, this one is a common Wombat. These little guy's are a ball of muscle, low to the ground and can run at speeds of 40kph. They are territorial, and if you want to go too close to their burrow, you better be able to run as fast as them. In a controlled situation, they are unique to pat as they don't have a soft spot on them, and a full grown male can weigh in at 35 to 40 kg.
Pictured is a "Mob" of Kangaroos. The one in the middle is a Mum, you can see the legs poking out of the pouch, all I can say is how uncomfortable for Mum.
This was a chance shot of 2 Kangaroo Bucks arguing over land and of course, the girls on it.
This is a pic of a baby wallaby.
